Planting a new life

After living in a house surrounded by a beautiful garden in which my father had seasonal vegetables growing.

After years of Dad calling me out to help, either to till the plot, to de-weed, to water and finally to help harvest – oftentimes somewhat reluctantly on my part.

After living in a house surrounded by nature, allbeit not exactly wild, my move to my own flat (or apartment, just to sound a bit more posh) I have discovered that I miss that. It isn’t a yearning that is apparent at first, it’s just a nagging feeling that something is missing.

So today I decided to sow the seeds my sister Lal sent me from her allotment in Huntly. The little but cosy town where she lives.

Day 1

Potting and sowing the seeds.

Nasturtium..

Borage

Chives

Marigolds

Fingers crossed.

Day 1 – a productive morning
